About Medical Online
Hello Website Visitor!
Medical Online has been an online resource since 1997, and has been maintained by myself over the last 5 years.
I was born in Sydney and haven't moved far, as I live in Manly which is just north of Sydney. I received my Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in 1977 and taught undergraduate entry level classes for several of my working years. I retired in 2000. I now spend much of my time with my husband Peter. We have two wonderful children (Dennis and Molly), and so far we have 3 grandchildren (Luke, Dennis Jr, and Carol).
When I was younger we lived in Rose Bay near the Royal Sydney Golf Club and I attended Double Bay Public school. Back then our home was on Cambridge Street, which is very steep, a 30 degree incline. I used to walk to school in Double Bay (approximately 1 and a half kilometers, up and down hills). In 1971, I was accepted into Sydney Girls High School, in Surry Hills. While at Sydney Girls High School I played netball for all 6 years.
As a child, and now as an older woman, I found myself often taking vacations into "the bush" to spend time in Yarrawong near Coolah (which is approximately 6 hours from Sydney).
After graduating from Sydney Girls High School, I somehow ended up as a jillaroo on a 33,000 acre cropping property. For those who don't know, a jillaroo is a farm manager intern of sorts.
After that, I then found myself attending college, and then teaching college for several years. Now that I'm retired, I have more time for things like this website and for spending with my husband, kids, and grandkids.
